Objectives Kanyadan Yojana Maharashtra
The main objective of this program is to facilitate the integration of Maharashtra’s Nomadic Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Freed Castes, Special Backward Classes, and Tribals into mainstream society by mitigating their economic, social, and educational disparities.
Benefits Kanyadan Yojana Maharashtra
Under the Kanyadaan Yojana, parents of eligible couples belonging to Scheduled Caste, Exempted Caste, Nomadic Tribe, Special Backward Class, and Other Backward Class will be provided with financial assistance of Rs 20,000.
Eligibility Criteria
The following eligibility is required for Kanyadan Yojana Maharashtra :-
- The bride and groom must be Maharashtra citizens.
- The age of the groom must be at least twenty-one (21) and the age of the bride cannot be less than eighteen (18).
- Either one or both of them must belong to Scheduled Caste, Open Caste, Other Backward Class, Nomadic Tribe, or Special Backward Class.
- The Kanyadan grant scheme is exclusively available for the first marriage of the couple.
- A mass marriage ceremony requires at least ten couples (20 grooms and 20 brides) to participate.

- Completed application in the specified format
- Identification cards for both spouses
- Proof of residency
- Death certificate (for widows)
- Marriage registration certificate
- Proof of income
- Below poverty line certificate
How to Apply?
- The concerned NGO needs to submit an application to the Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare.
- It should include all data & information and necessary documentation.
- a proposal should be forwarded to the Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare to request additional details about the program.
